Wonder what Rock'n S is all about? Play this short movie and get a feel for who we are at Rock'n S Ranch:
Horsemanship is developing a willing partner with your horse. Horsemanship does not start in the saddle, it begins on the ground, with a thorough knowledge of the horse. This knowledge begins with education. Your horse will never learn your language, but you can learn to speak 'horse'. Rock'n S Enterprises can teach you this language and bring both horse and rider together. Give us a call and we will be happy to share with you!
At Rock'n S Enterprises, we are devoted to providing education to our customers. We hold educational seminars for new horse owners, people who are thinking about owning a horse and those that already own a horse. We have found that most training issues can be remedied by educating the owner/rider on how to handle their horse and the care required. This includes feeds and feeding management, hoof care, vaccinations, saddle fit, proper use of equipment and learning to recognize injuries. There are also many 'hidden' costs to horse ownership and this economic factor plays into every decision a horse owner will need to make. Then of course, there is the responsibility of horse ownership in general. If we educate their owners, the horses will be happier, healthier and more productive!

If you have ever paid to attend clinics, purchase DVD's and watch demonstrations, then you know how frustrating it is to go home and try these methods, only to fail with your horse. There is an answer for the horse person who has tried and failed these methods: Education that is based on communicating with your horse in order to develop a willing partner and a lasting relationship. This encourages people to learn to speak 'horse' and to understand horse behavior so that the horse will better understand what the rider is asking them to do. It requires a lot of education on the part of the horse owner to learn how to 'read' a horse, know the physiology, anatomy and psychology of the horse, and know the proper care for their horse. Be sure to check in our blog so you can learn about these different subjects. Rock'n S Enterprises is devoted to providing education for both horse and rider. It is our hope that you will gain some of this education and knowledge from our website, seminars and training.

Last Friday morning, Rock'n S had a visit from our good friend Kenny Meeks. Kenny is an equine realignment specialist. He comes out once a month to take a look at and adjust horses (and sometimes dogs) that may be a little stiff or sore.
Think about all the physical activity you ask your horses to do. Besides the fact that they carry you on their back, you ask them to pull you up and down hills, into and out of water, run circles for miles in a round pen, or barrels or any number of things. Have you ever run a marathon or performed in a sporting event that left you sore and stiff? Think about how good a massage felt afterwards. Well, that's what Kenny does for horses.
Here are some pictures taken on Friday of Kenny working on a 6 year old Missouri Fox Trotter mare named Lilybug. Kenny suspected that she had injured her right hip in the past which has left her gait a little short-strided. Kenny's magic fingers went to work and had Lilybug feeling better in no time.
Need to contact Kenny? Give us a holler and we'll hook you up!!!
